Being able to hug an elephant was the BEST. DAY. EVER. Seeing a male lion with a full grown mane and a leopard on the hunt were right up there as well. While it’s so hard to choose a favorite trip, because I like different aspects of different areas, South Africa is definitely at the top of my list! Not to mention the Sacred Sojourn team made such a good impression on me, I have two more future retreats booked through them!

I had never really thought much about meeting authors, that was until I heard Robyn Harding, the author of one of my favorite books “The Drowning Woman,” was going to be at an International Reading Retreat in Greece, a country I hadn’t been to yet, but was at the top of my list! This experience is one I will never forget. I made life-long bookish friends and now I am seeking out more reading events!

From the moment I met my friend Ekta in college, I dreamed about the day I could travel to India with her. That dream became a reality when she asked me to come to her wedding! I never imagined how special I would feel in the beautiful Saree that her sister had made just for me! I got to experience the country and the culture in a way that very few would, actually immersed in one of their most sacred of ceremonies!
